Namecheap may be one of the web hosting providers that can meet your needs.

Namecheap began in 2000 as a domain registrar, and its success prompted the company to expand its offerings beyond domain registration to include web hosting.

More than 11 million people use the company’s services, and it hosts more than 3 million domain names.

Namecheap prides itself on the fact that it does not rely on upsells to make money, unlike some other companies. Instead, Namecheap strives to offer economical pricing plans that provide you with just what you require.

Namecheap: The Pros and The Cons

So let’s dive into Namecheap’s pros and cons to see if its advantages are enough for you and if its disadvantages aren’t a deal breaker.

The Pros

A Reputable Name in the Industry:

Namecheap has been in business for more than two decades and has a long history in the hosting industry. Namecheap has a lot going for it, with more than three million consumers under its belt. Trust that they’ve worked out a lot of issues over the years and now have an overall solid product.

Uptime was good:

A reliable uptime is absolutely essential. Your website will experience less downtime if it has a high uptime percentage. You don’t want any downtime, either. If your website is down for an extended period of time, you are losing clients.

So Namecheap’s uptime guarantee of 100% is something we really appreciate. You receive your money back if the uptime is less than 100%. Customer service at its finest. Due of Namecheap’s reputation for reliability, they are able to offer this.

Minor dips have occurred in the past, but nothing major, and everything has returned to near-perfect condition. As of right now, 99.97 percent of the time is spent online, which is nearly perfect.

In addition, keep in mind that Namecheap will cover any downtime your site experiences.

Migration and a Free Domain Name:

Namecheap makes it simple and affordable to switch to their plans if you’re not satisfied with your current provider’s service. You will not be charged anything because they are so low-cost.

In fact, Namecheap provides free migration of your website from other hosting providers.

Namecheap Free Web Hosting

With the purchase of a plan, you’ll also receive a free domain name. This makes reasonable, given that they specialize in domains. There is nothing wrong with a freebie, especially if it is something we can use.

Guarantee of Money back:

Have you had a bad experience with Namecheap? There’s nothing to worry about. Namecheap will refund you if you decide within 30 days of signing up for services that you don’t like what’s going on.

In other words, you have a whole month to test out your Namecheap package. If you’re not satisfied with the service at the end of the trial period, you have the option of changing plans or receiving a refund.

Awesome Basic Plan:

In the past, if you’ve looked for web hosting, you’ve probably discovered that the most basic plans from practically any provider offer nothing more than the necessary essentials If you’re just getting started with websites, they’re a good place to start, but if you need more than just a location to host your site, you may want to look elsewhere.

However, Namecheap is an exception to this rule. Don’t be fooled by the name since, despite the fact that their base plan costs just over a dollar, they offer more than most of their competitors.

Namecheap’s cheapest plan comes with unlimited bandwidth. As your site grows, you’ll appreciate this opportunity. For the first year, you’ll also receive a free SSL certificate. (As with other free SSL certificate options, the first year is free but you must pay for each subsequent year.). This is the same for Namecheap as well.

But one of our favorite features is the fact that you get two free backups a week. There are some services that give only once-weekly free backups, so twice-weekly is a significant deal. Backups are essential since you never know when an upgrade will go wrong and cause your entire site to go offline.

But there’s more to come. With the basic package, you get not one, not two, but three websites. It’s a big leap from the one-website hosting that most companies offer with their cheapest plan. You’ll appreciate this benefit if you wish to run a business and a personal website at the same time.

In addition to all of this, you get 50 email addresses. The fact that you get 50 is a major perk considering that most providers just provide one, and some don’t provide any at all.

In addition, you receive 50 MySQL databases, which is more than most providers give.

Quick Load Time (QTL):

While waiting for a webpage to load, no one wants to hear the Jeopardy theme tune. Nearly all visitors will abandon a website’s objective if it takes longer than three to four seconds for the page to load.

A website should load in fewer than three seconds nowadays, according to Google’s standards. You should, however, aim for a lower number.

With Namecheap, anyone may have Google’s domain name. Their page load time is an impressive 458 milliseconds, making them a perfect candidate for this test. There’s no sign of slowing down with this supplier.

The Cons

Inconsistent Customer Support.

Using Namecheap is a breeze because to the company’s Knowledgebase, where you can find answers to any questions you may have.

Among the topics covered are SSL certificates, email, and more.

In addition, they have instructional videos that cover a wide range of topics and give you reliable answers to your inquiries.

You could have some trouble locating what you’re looking for if it isn’t in either the Knowledgebase or the how-to video library.

While Namecheap’s live chats are quick to react at initially, they falter when more inquiries are asked. We don’t like how long it takes to get answers to our questions in the chat.

If you have any queries or complaints, you can also post a ticket, but don’t expect a speedy answer. Namecheap also does not provide phone assistance, so there is no need in wasting time looking such a number.
